Personal highlights…

  • After making a conscious ‘Lifestyle’ change at the start of 2020, and pursuing a passion for long-distance endurance sports, Chris became an IRONMAN U Certified Coach and began the move to a full time coaching career.

  • Chris now enjoys coaching several Dubai based Athletes who are predominantly targeting IRONMAN 70.3, IRONMAN140.6 and Xtri Series Races in 2021 and 2022

Originally from a running background, Chris has been training for and competing in longer distance endurance sports for over 25 years as an ‘age group’ athlete beginning back in 96 with the London marathon and then progressing into triathlon where he has competed at all distances from super sprint to full ironman.

The formative years of longer distance road and ‘off road’ adventure races laid a valuable foundation for Chris who found Triathlon later in life whilst residing in Dubai over the last 10 years.

As a professional Chartered Surveyor working for many years at Partner level for an international property and construction consultant, a family man, married with two children, Chris is no stranger to integrating high volume and intensity training schedules into an already hectic working and family life and understands the commitment and support required together with the sacrifices and compromise sometimes needed to achieve both balance and success in Life and Sport.

Upon turning 50 Chris decided it was time for somewhat of a ‘lifestyle‘ change and having qualified as an IRONMAN Certified coach in 2020 now focuses on Coaching Triathletes and Endurance Athletes.

Chris has recently returned to the UK from Dubai and resides in Peak District National Park which provides a fantastic training environment with plenty of challenging terrain. Never one to stand still, his future goals include the Norseman, Marathon des Sables, Bob Graham Round and XTri series but not necessarily in that order : )

Chris delivers an ‘Athlete Centric’ approach putting the Athlete front and centre at all times.

Working with a range of Athletes that may be completely new to Triathlon through to those that are age group winners or world championship qualifiers, Chris seeks to help Athletes become the best version of themselves with the time and resources that they can invest in their journey.

Chris sees equal engagement by Athlete and Coach to achieving agreed goals as fundamental to success and if opportunity and Athlete location /proximity enables, Chris is keen to meet regularly with athletes on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to swim, bike and run together to best utilise this coaching philosophy.

Chris prioritises quality of coaching over quantity of athletes in order not to compromise on his coaching philosophy and level of investment and engagement.
