Adam works closely alongside Kit and Kirsty Walker at the Kit Walker Triathlon Performance Centre in South Petherton and spends , where he uses his years of practical trade skills to offer high performance bike fitting for Total Bike Fit. Adam has a particular interest in time trialling and aerodynamics and unpicking bike data. He has recently spent some time at the velodrome learning skills in executing power and speed through bike positioning and he is excited to share in this knowledge with his athletes too. Adam will be returning to the centre after his time in Girona and will also continue his active role in leading Total Run Training coach led run and track sessions and being part of the local community squad sessions. Adam wants to help others learn the foundations of what it takes to be able to train and race to their potential and has a great understanding of the differences in the physiological demands of the sessions that are required for both himself and his athletes when building to race at all; distances.

Whether an athlete is racing short or long course, a novice or more experienced Adam believes the key to a successful training plan is piecing together intensity and volume in a way that is specifically prescribed to each individual. Educating athletes to understand how to layer these bricks and find the results in the consistency is what I love the most

Meet Adam

"I have always been the sporty and competitive one in my family. Coming from a big downhill/MTB racing background, I wanted to take my cycling to the next level which led me into triathlon a few years ago. Whilst living with two very competitive triathletes, it became a race to be the quickest in the household. Since then, I have competed in many 70.3's, qualified for Team GB at the European Championships, had a few podiums at local triathlons, and have grown a huge passion for the sport and love travelling and racing. Being an engineer by trade, I understand what it takes to work a 40+ hour week whilst fitting in quality training, as well as juggling a home life balance. I have recently taken the leap to help others in their triathlon journey as a full time triathlon coach and will be residing in Girona, Spain for 2024. As the current hotspot for all things triathlon, I want to use my year there to further develop my coaching and gain experience in running training camps."
