Andy has competed in Triathlon since 2011 when he joined his University’s Triathlon and Swimming Club. For the last 4 years, Andy has been coached by TTT’s Head Coach, Chris Standidge and has experienced first-hand the hard work and dedication needed to achieve his goals. Being a member of the TTT family for many years now, Andy understands the coaching methodologies and beliefs TTT utilise and implement for all their athletes.

Meet Andy

“I am 27 years old and have been a RAF Physical Training Instructor for the last 6 years. Throughout my time as a RAF PTI, I have been actively involved in creating and leading fitness programmes for a wide range of people, helping them to achieve their personal goals and keeping them in top shape.


I was fortunate enough to go to a very sporty school where I had the opportunity to take part in all sports. I enjoyed cross country where I represented at county level and ultimately started my love for running and joining my University’s Triathlon Club later. Paired with studying sport science my affection for Triathlon grew and things became more serious regarding training and racing for the University Triathlon and Swim squads. Since joining the TTT family I have represented GB at Age group level, had IRONMAN 70.3 and National Championship podium finishes and qualified for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Taupo.


I believe that a successful triathlon programme is based on three core components: consistency; sustainability; and balance. By working together and adhering to these components, we can tailor a training programme that is optimal for you and your triathlon success.
